The AUC Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is hosting The 2019 Arab World Social Innovation Forum. The Forum will leverage Ashoka’s position as the world’s largest platform for social entrepreneurs to convene over 400 attendees from the region and around the world – among them distinguished social entrepreneurs, leaders in business and corporate sectors, academics, policymakers and thought leaders – in order to ignite local-to-global and cross-sector movements for social change.
The event will include a distinguished and diverse cohort of speakers range from H.E. Hala El Said, Egypt's Minister of Planning, Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt Minister of Tourism; to Aurelia Frick, Liechtenstein Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education, and Culture; Katherine Milligan, former director and head of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship; and Bunker Roy, founder of Barefoot College. In addition, our participating social entrepreneurs represent all corners of the globe, from Edit Schlaffer, founder of Women Without Borders in Austria; to Kara Andrade, founder of Habla Guate in Guatemala; and Morgan Dixon, co-founder and CEO of GirlTrek in the U.S.
