Description
Mary Pauline Lowry will read to the Boise community from her new novel, THE ROXY LETTERS, on April 17. THE ROXY LETTERS will be released on April 7, 2020, by Simon & Schuster -- and we hope you'll join us to celebrate Lowry's hilarious novel and tremendous success.
Lowry graduated from the Boise State MFA program in 2019, and we feel proud beyond words to call her one of our own. And here's a fun fact: THE ROXY LETTERS grew out of an assignment Lowry gave to her undergraduate creative writing students when she was a teaching assistant at Boise State!
Joy Williams, author of THE VISITING PRIVILEGE, writes of THE ROXY LETTERS, 'Naughty, effervescent fun. A novel abounding in dauschunds, tweakers, real fulfillment centers, aisles of strange beer, and shrines to Venus (they work!). Roxy rocks Austin. And rights the world.'
Mary Pauline Lowry is a native of Austin, Texas. She received her MFA from Boise State University. The author of the novels THE ROXY LETTERS and WILDFIRE, she’s also a regular contributor to O, The Oprah Magazine. Her work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times, The Millions, and other publications.
