Stephen Starr’s El Vez presents Cinco de Mayo Fiesta with Music, Refreshments and Social Media Contest

Award-winning restaurateur Stephen Starr’s highly anticipated El Vez is opening its doors for a fun and action-packed Cinco de Mayo fiesta. South Florida locals and guests are invited to be the first to preview the modern Mexican destination that’s launching soon at W Fort Lauderdale.

Complimentary bites including grilled carnitas, El Vez signature guacamole, chips and salsa and grilled corn will be served. Margaritas -- frozen and on the rocks by the glass or pitcher -- along with Mexican and craft beers, and signature cocktails, will be available for purchase.

The oceanfront location is ideal for a fiesta with an indoor-outdoor bar and plenty of entertainment including an appearance by El Vez himself, the celebrated namesake Mexican Elvis impersonator, lawn games, a photo booth with props, and a performance by Mexican electronic music project Sweet Electra.

For the celebration El Vez will host a social media contest. Guests who follow @ElVez_FTL on Instagram and post a photo showing their Cinco de Mayo spirit will have the chance to win dinner for six.

Entry to the fiesta is free and it is open to the public.
