Focus: Time 

Time is a fickle beast in our line of work, yet when you have a focused amount of time to hone in on just a few goals, it’s amazing what you can accomplish. Our focus on individualism continues with more information on how as a school community we can support ALL of our students, together.

Focus: Reading Block

Why: At San Tan Charter School, reading and language arts instruction is hands-on, differentiated, and cross-curricular.

Focus: Writing Block

Why: At San Tan Charter School, writing is an art through the Lucy Calkins curriculum.

Highly Effective Teaching starts with a plan, is goal oriented, and is measured by student data. Beginning with the end in mind, we start with AZ Merit testing and backcast to effectively plan and deliver our instruction.

Once basic safety requirements are met and emergency procedures understood, we move on to delivering effective classroom instruction. Please take those ideas and the notion that teaching and learning can be done in a multitude of ways; we will show you in the days to come to the resources/curriculum as well as systems that have proven successful for our students.
