Marti Jones & Don Dixon
Marti Jones began her musical journey in her teens in Ohio. After being discovered by Liam Sternberg in the early 80s, she was signed to A&M records where she made three albums that helped define the trajectory of Americana. She moved to RCA in 1990 but after a few more years of relentless touring, she opted for motherhood. Since then she’s made the occasional record, done the occasional tour and spent lots of time painting, her first love.
She became known for her stylish interpretations of songs by Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, David Bowie, Peter Holsapple and Marshall Crenshaw.

Has songs recorded by Joe Cocker, Ronnie Spector, Hootie & the Blowfish, and the Counting Crows to name a few. Produced recordings for R.E.M., the Smithereens, Marshall Crenshaw, Guadalcanal Diary and James McMurtry along with dozens of other influential acts.
