The Northwest Chapter of the Iowa Archeological Society and the Sanford Museum are partnering with Cherokee CCB and O'Brien CCB for Archaeology Day - a free event!

Ongoing outdoor activities include:

--Pottery Puzzle
--Atlatl Throwing
--Bow and Arrow
--Soils
--Bison Basics
--& More!

 

Come-and-Go Indoor Presentations include:

1:00-1:30: Archaeology in Northwest Iowa (Megan Stroh, Sanford Museum and Planetarium)

1:30-2:00: The Ioway Indians in Northwest Iowa (Lance Foster, Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska)

2:00-2:30: Correctionville Oneota - Resurrected from the Past (Dale Henning)

2:30-3:00: Public Outreach for the Correctionville Geoglyph Site (Kathy Koskovich)

3:00-3:30: TBA

3:30-4:00: New Archaeological Site in BV County (Greg Johnson, Buena Vista County Conservation)
