Our Green Building Technology Lab and Demonstration tours are suitable for individuals or businesses interested in green building technologies.

Building highlights include: 

  • Calgary’s first net zero commercial building
  • over 16,800 ft² of research infrastructure
  • 6,350 ft² high-performance demonstration building and test lab
  • green roof with research plots
  • 38,000L concrete cistern for research in rainwater harvesting
  • grey water bio-filtration lab capable of treating 1,000L of grey water per day to meet net zero water standard
  • cold climate mechanical bays to enable side-by-side comparative testing of all HVAC equipment
  • solar carport and electric vehicle charging bays
  • 14.8 KW solar thermal energy capacity
  • 36.9 KW total solar PV energy capacity
  • 8.7kw in the roof
  • 6.1kw in PV lab
  • 5.3kw in the ENMAX roof
  • 16.8 in the EV carport
