Explore and integrate Trauma with Transformational Breath & Reiki Drumming

Award-winning morning and afternoon Transformational Breath® sessions
closing with guided Reiki Drumming

Most of us have experienced some level of trauma in our lives. This comes from experiencing stressful events such as abuse, neglect, natural disasters, war, or loss of loved ones through illness. The thinking mind can’t work through these issues to let them go, they are held in the body, or more specifically in our tissues.

“Your issues are in your Tissues”

This is a scientific fact. When these issues are unprocessed they show up in life through flashbacks, anger, depression, eating disorders, stress, extreme anxiety and avoidance. Untreated these can affect physical health and make us really sick. You cannot rationalise with trauma with just the conscious mind. This is one of the reasons why many talking therapies only go so far.

Because your body needs to be part of the healing equation…. as the origin of your pain lives in your body.

  • The key to your healing exists within your body…and all the wisdom you need to heal is within you.

So how do you access that wisdom?

Through your breath, more specifically Transformational Breath (as this tool works at the physical level of the body and helps to process the emotional load of trauma).

Transformational Breath® works across the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. In our opinion, there is no better self-healing tool. It's been said that one breath session is equivalent to two years of therapy, so imagine the impact of doing this twice in one day and how this will help integrate past trauma.

Reiki Drumming

The afternoon Transformational Breath session will close with a guided Reiki Drumming session. The drumbeat is one of the oldest and most sacred sounds that we can use to access the subconscious and healing. The drum sounds connect us back to the primal sound of the heart beating- the first sound we hear in the womb. When combining Reiki with sound this creates a beautifully safe and sacred environment for healing to occur. The perfect way to integrate your trauma and bring healing to your body.

Nurture yourself and bring healing to your mind, body and spirit, in just ONE day.

YOU WILL GAIN THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS FROM THIS WORKSHOP

  • Increase body awareness without being re-traumatised
  • Processing and healing trauma memories without talking.
  • A strong connection to oneself
  • A feeling of insight, integration, clarity and purpose.
  • A shift in relation to any behaviours stemming from traumatic experiences
  • An opportunity to develop resilience
  • A regulated and calm nervous system following an intense detox

Are there any risks or contraindications?

Everybody can benefit from breathing better. We may need to make certain adjustments, e.g prop you up on some extra pillows. There will be an opportunity at registration for you to make us aware of any medical conditions.

How should I plan for this event?

You will be lying down on mats with pillows and blankets during this session. As its February it’s likely to be a bit cool. Wear loose comfortable clothing and warm additional layers are good. (Nothing too tight or restrictive around the waist). There is a local park you can visit at lunchtime, (weather permitting). There are some local cafes, although you might find it easier to bring a packed lunch. We will probably keep the break to around an hour. Bring a journal and a refillable water bottle.

Please avoid caffeine, alcohol or cigarettes before you arrive. Do not plan a wild night afterwards (unless you really must), because this process will take a few days to integrate.

How old do I need to be?

Over 18's, only, please. If younger please contact the organisers who can advise further.

Who is the event for?

Anyone over the age of 18. All levels of fitness and experience accommodated.
