Explore the process of writing poetry from start to finish. This six week course is ideal for those beginning to write poetry, or those who are looking for a refresher course to encourage their writing. Led by poet Alice Kinsella, topics covered include finding your own inspiration, metaphor and imagery, rhythm and rhyme, editing, and sharing your work. The classes will include reading examples, as well as writing prompts and exercises.
Alice Kinsella’s poetry has appeared in Banshee, The Irish Times, Poetry Ireland Review, and Multipoetry Project Krakow, among others. Her work has been translated in Polish and Greek. She is the author of Flower Press (The Onslaught Press) and Sexy Fruit (Broken Sleep Books).

Introduction to Writing Poetry for adults takes place over six Mondays from 25th February, from 11.00am-1.00pm (continuing 4th, 11th, 25th March; and 1st, 8th April. Note no session on 18th March.)
