Description

Over the course of this exciting camp Dani will cover character and world building exercises, video game narrative and poetry. The workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediates, Dani will provide guided reading, writing exercises and creative case studies, in an environment that is relaxed and fun.

Dani is a writer and event curator, specialising in literature. She published her first poetry collection in 2017 and is working on a novel. From 2010-2016 she was the Director of Cúirt International Festival of Literature, Galway, and now works for Words Ireland as their Audience Development Officer and curates independent projects with festivals, county councils and libraries.

Dani loves working with young people and has been mentoring young writers in Galway and around Ireland since 2013. She is passionate about creative writing being a gateway to personal expression and uses it as a tool to empower young people to find their inner voice and learn to believe in themselves.

Cost per child for the workshop series is €100. Participants will be grouped into 13-15s and 16-18s. Places are limited and pre-booking is ESSENTIAL.
