Violinist Agata Miklavc was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she began studying the violin when only 3 years old. At 5 years old she first performed as a soloist in the Great Hall of Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.
In 2011 she was accepted to the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and studied for two years in the studio of Vsevolod Balžalorsky. After the second year of successful studies, she moved to Sarajevo in order to study with professor Violeta Smailović-Huart at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo. She graduated from both Academies in 2015.
In 2017 she earned a Performance Diploma in violin performance in the studio of professor Emanuel Borok at SMU, Meadows School of The Arts, where she continued to pursue a Master of Music degree and graduated in 2019.
She saw success in numerous competitions including the 3rd prize in the category Excellence at the Glazunov international music competition in Paris, France in 2019.
Agata is currently pursuing an AMS degree in a studio of prof. Andrés Cárdenes at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
