Student Recital
Bridget Johnston, soprano
Bridget Johnston is a graduating soprano from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. Her colorful repertoire spans from classical art song, to opera, to musical theatre and jazz. As a young artist, Bridget has be honored to sing with many wonderful companies, including Des Moines Metro Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera, the Savannah VOICE Festival, Bach Choir of Pittsburgh, and Aria Musica Pittsburgh. Prior to her masters candidacy at Carnegie Mellon, Bridget graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. In addition to performance, Bridget holds teaching and directing very dear to her heart. Between her first and second years of graduate school at CMU, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bridget served as the interim music director for her hometown church in Waukee, IA. She is currently a teaching artist and coordinator for Pittsburgh Festival Opera.
