Flutist Aaron Rib is an artist who seeks to share joy, love, and kinship through music. An ardent believer in the power of imaginative storytelling, Aaron strives for a humanistic approach to performance through expressive playing and an emphasis on the listener's experience. Aaron feels most at home in chamber and orchestral settings, where he can collaborate with others to engage audiences through live performance. Recent highlights include performances with the Canton and Wheeling symphonies and the world-premiere of Reza Vali’s Kismet for three flutes with NAT 28. Aaron’s desire to grow a love for music in others drives his passion for increasing the accessibility and inclusiveness of classical music in his community. Supporting that work, he serves as co-founder and Operations Director of Azure Family Concerts Pittsburgh, a sensory-friendly concert series for individuals with autism. Aaron hopes to spend his career fostering human connection wherever he lives and carrying on the legacy of musical joy from his mentors Lorna McGhee, Valerie Coleman, Jennifer Grim, Trudy Kane, and Carmen Bannon.
