Carnegie Mellon Opera: Ottone in Villa
Experience Carnegie Mellon Opera's production of Antonio Vivaldi's first opera, Ottone in Villa, a story of love, jealousy, and mistaken identity, Thursday through Sunday, February 1-4. Taking place in a country villa, Emperor Ottone is in love with the beautiful Cleonilla, who in turn cannot help flirting with two attractive young Romans - who are not what they seem. The opera unfolds to Vivaldi's sumptuous Baroque score, with performances & orchestra by the School of Music and sets, costumes & lighting by the School of Drama. Free to all students, faculty, and staff.
