Student Recital

Nicole Khouzami, soprano
Ellen Rissinger, piano

Sweeter than Roses: Songs of Teta’s Garden is all about love, beauty, nature, childhood, innocence, heartbreak, and joy. This recital includes a Persian folk song written by Nicole’s dear friend, Leila Gottlieb Hedayati, music by Lebanese icon, Fairouz, and many other French, English, Italian, and German art songs. She is beyond excited to collaborate with James O’Malley Gorbea on guitar and Viviana Antonio on the cello as well. This recital is dedicated to Nicole’s family, Lebanon, and the many summers she has spent there throughout her life.
