ADVANCED JUDGE ACCREDITATION
An Advanced Judge Accreditation is the third level of accreditation for judging in Gymnastics.
On completion of the Advanced Judge Accreditation requirements, the accreditation is added to the judge record in the national database.
A. Requirements to gain a judge accreditation
• Hold an Intermediate Judge Accreditation (same gymsport) or have received an exemption to the Intermediate Judge Accreditation (same gymsport)
• An individual must be 16 years or older to enrol for the Advanced Judge Course.
• A judge must complete all parts of the Advanced Judge Accreditation:
o Attend the Face to Face Course
o Successfully complete all assessment tasks ▪ No less than 80% for any 1 assessment task/section
B. Technical Membership
The judge must renew their Technical Membership to activate the accreditation. Please note that renewal of Technical Membership will occur on the date that the accreditation was gained, unless the judge already holds an accreditation as a Coach, in which case the date for Technical Membership renewal may be different.
C. Requirements for accreditation to be active For the accreditation to remain active an Advanced Judge must:
• Complete updating as detailed in the Updating Policy
• Renew Technical Membership annually. From time to time, a judge may be required to attend additional training as a requirement of annual renewal in order to be updated due to changes to rules/judging at competition. If the additional training is not undertaken to the required level, the judge will cease to be accredited and can no longer judge.
D. What can I judge?
An Advanced Judge Accreditation verifies that a Judge has the competencies to judge at gymnastics events in accordance with the Gymsport Judging Pathways for WAG an advanced judge can judge ALP level 1-10 at competition.
Please confirm that your State/Territory Association is planning to run this practical course. If not, you may need to attend an interstate face-to-face course.
