GA - Advanced Tumbling and Spring Module - Practical 1

 

NT - Advanced Coaching Course MODULE 1 NT25C006

The Advanced Tumbling and Spring Face to Face Module will teach coaches how to teach advanced tumbling skills on floor. The half-day course is both the final part of the Advanced Participation Pathway, and the first Face to Face course for the Advanced ACR, GfA, MAG, TUM and WAG Coach Accreditations.

The prerequisites for enrolling in this course are:

1. The Online Participation Module (or the Online Advanced Coaching Principles Course)

2. Spotting Log Book - Module 1

After attending and passing this course, all coaches will be able to teach advanced tumbling skills on floor.

Attending this course will award you 4 updating points.

 

The requirements to gain an Advanced coach accreditation are listed below:

• The coach must hold an Intermediate Coach Accreditation or have received exemptions to the Intermediate Coach Accreditation.

• A coach must be 17 years or older for the face to face component of the course.

• A coach must successfully complete all parts of the Advanced Coach Accreditation:

          o Online Advanced Coaching Principles and associated assessment tasks (completed in conjunction with workplace training)

          o Online Advanced Gymsport Course and associated assessment task (completed in conjunction with workplace training)

          o First Aid Certificate – a coach must have a current First Aid Certificate or complete a course prior to enrolment in the face to face course

          o Gymsport Face to Face Course 

 

An Advanced Coach Accreditation verifies that a coach has the competencies to coach gymnastics at an Advanced level. Competencies for an Advanced Coach Accreditation are available on the GA website. A coach should always work within their level of competency and exercise a duty of care to participants at all times.
